If Celebrities were sweets!

In this day and age we are in constant need to compare one thing to another within daily life, when your working day comprises of working with sweets you seem to start comparing types of sweets to people. This might sound strange, but you'd be surprised at the amount of people in the public eye who you can compare to a gobstopper or a cola bottle. In the world of business, Sports, television there are examples that we come across every day.

Here are just a few –

Simon Cowell – Ferrero Rocher – Hard exterior with a soft centre (allegedly) and usually surrounded by nuts

Lord Sugar – Pear Drop – Nothing fancy about this one, All business with no frills.  Hard exterior that's covered in sugar. Would have the best name ever for a sweet business.

Michael Owen/Gary Lineker – Dairy Milk – Pure and simple, housewives favourite and palatable for all. Nothing too crazy but popular with everyone.

Bruce Forsyth – Werther's Original – Has seemingly been around forever, yet still gains more fans each year. Grandmothers guilty pleasure.

Lady Gaga – Wonka everlasting gobstopper – You're never sure what you'll get with this one, it comes from America and is always unpredictable.

Holly Willoughby – Cadbury's Éclair – great packaging always looks nice with a sweet centre, very tasteful yet sweet.

Keith Lemon – Wonka nerds – Colourful, energetic, popular with the kids of today and with the 90's kids too. Sweet and sour at the same time perhaps showing two sides to a character. Lemon drops would have been too easy.

Piers Morgan – Walnut Whip - Smooth exterior with a hard shell that's basically a bit nutty.

Jeremy Clarkson – Mint Imperials – As British as the day is long, great on a Sunday morning to help with a hangover.

Ant and Dec – Plain Crisps with Milk chocolate – nothing special on their own but a great combination together, great on a Saturday night with a glass of wine.

Sean combs/puff daddy/ p.diddy/diddy) – Marathon / Snickers – Had a different name in the eighties, smooth appearance that hides a tough centre.
